Women in A/AA National Summit
This year's sold out Summit was at Brisbane Powerhouse on 10 June and was opened by Raechel Paris | Executive General Manager, Governance at Brisbane Airport Corporation.
The Summit focused on workplace culture and, how we can encourage a more inclusive and diverse workforce. And discussed the barriers and opportunities for women in the industry, we asked the tough questions and addressed how we can close the gender gap. We looked at what will it take for us to encourage more women and women to challenge workplace culture to encourage more women to pursue a career in STEM?
Attendees got to have their say, as we had breakout sessions, mini workshops, group conversations, engaging panel discussions, and speakers from diverse industry backgrounds with Q&A after each!
The learnings didn't end when the day finished – we focused on embedding the learnings beyond the summit day, to encourage attendees to take them back in to their workplace and encourage others to support the changes needed.
