SPACE MISSION 2040 – NOMINATE A SCHOOL TODAY

The Australian Space Agency supports the Space Mission 2040: Primary School Competition by Women in A/AA for 2023. Nominate a school via the BOOK NOW button!

Women in A/AA invites all schools from across the country to participate in SPACE MISSION 2040. Through our SPACE MISSION 2040 competition for primary school students, Women in A/AA is reaching the next generation of aviation, aerospace and space professionals with fantastic resources thanks to the support of the Australian Space Agency. WA/AA is pleased to be offering activities to primary school students to support the future pipeline of talent for the whole industry.

THE MISSION: Diverse teams of three create their own spacecraft to rescue their friend’s family from Venus. These can be undertaken over four weeks or four days, with each of the four lesson plans running one hour in length.

During a school term lesson packs will be provided, including paper plane folding-and-throwing kits, story-time from space, and a Space Careers video. Students will also learn the Four Forces of Flight in a 10-minute webinar delivered by Stephanie McCulloch, a graduate Aerospace Engineer from RMIT University.

Please register your school at the BOOK NOW botton or contact [email protected] for more information.
